One of my FAVORITE things about living an Urban Life-Style is the sounds of the city.
The DART light rail system has been closed since early Friday morning (12.06.13) due to the 2013 ice storm.
These silent rails have been an eerie feeling but the adding of the extra buses has made up for it.
We had the BEST time seeing life-long best friends in the Mid-West.
We traveled to Indiana, Michigan & Chicago. Here is a collection of gathered moments from our very memorable time together.
All images were taken with my new Fuji X-E1.
I recently got the opportunity to photograph the CEO & COO for Texas Health Resources for a HUGE campaign they are doing for Heart Walk 2013.
Here is the mock-up for the DART bus wrap they did. I think THIS is pretty cool. My NEXT quest is to find THAT bus. ; )
Hope to see YOU September 7th.

I was recently on assignment at The Shops at Legacy to document the activities that were going on there.
They had some GREAT music in front of Urban Outfitters for #LegacyLive.
But GREATER than the music was THIS moment …
She said YES!!!
I have been forever changed by Flashes of Hope.
Here you see Kyneicia RIGHT after her mom put that plush giraffe on her head, such a precious moment here, to me.
I got the opportunity to walk around the hospital and photograph the kids who could NOT make it to the auditorium where all the other pix were being taken.
Please check out the NEW website for Flashes of Hope and consider a donation to this AMAZING organization that has changed my life … FOREVER.
TOTALLY had a blast on the set of Imaginator Squad.
LOVE the idea of children using their imagination to occupy their time – GREAT concept.
A behind the scenes moment here as the kids walk down the street after 2 AMAZING days of shooting.
We decided to head out one afternoon to the DART rail and try a NEW place for lunch.
Mama Faye’s BBQ was suggested to us by our post master, so off we went.
Along the way, I decided to take pix of John Brooks to tell our Urban Excursion story.
Had the BEST day.
I am a part of Flashes of Hope and am passionate about photographing children fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
We need to raise $2000 this year – won’t you please consider a donation towards this cause.
The Dallas Stars are our sponsor, and our job here locally is to simply raise $2000 to be able to continue the work we are doing.
When you get to the donate page, simply choose Dallas – Fort Worth as the donation to support. ♥
Thank you for your contribution.
Flashes of Hope is a national nonprofit organization whose goal is to photograph every child with cancer until every child is cured.
I am apart of a creative group called The Collective. Over the weekend we had a black & white film processing workshop.
I chose to take black & white polaroids of everyone with their film cameras. This is a collection of “1 Take Portraits”.
I used FP-3000B instant black & white film and lit them using an IANEBEAM 1000 constant light.
The Collective is a GREAT community of artists.
create. connect. inspire.
I think moustaches are a funny craze, but even FUNNIER upside down.
